My sister is still scared of her own bed. How did you scar someone for life?

"So I used to share a room with my sister when we were 7ish. So one day before bed time I decided to draw a dog on the ceiling (I was a little shit) and justified it to my sister with "it'd be the first thing I would see when I wake up and then my day would be great!". The cartoon dog turned out so great my sister begged me to draw her one. I agreed and started drawing....but it wasn't a dog...it was a scary motherfucking onion man. It looked like a melting onion face. I don't know why I drew it. It really messed her up..She had nightmares about him and my parents moved her out into a different room. TL DR Drew a scary onion man above my sisters bed. She refuses to buy me Christmas presents to this very day. EDIT It was about 14 years ago long since painted over. As I remember it looked exactly like a grumpy rotting onion face. Just imagine a onion face...then imagine it decomposed...and grumpy. "

"When I was ten and my little sister was six, she was terrified of spiders. Intensely terrified. I would run in her room screaming there was a spider on her head like so: "THERE'S A SPIDER ON YOUR HEAD OH MY GAWD!!!" She would scream and run around, which was super-hilarious to me... But now she's still terrified of them and hates me for doing that to her. :( "

I scarred my sister by being a total ninja. I heard her coming up the stairs, so I crouched down next to the stairwell and she walked right by me without noticing. I then walked up behind her and grabbed her, and she jumped a mile high. But wait, there's more. I was so proud of myself for being a sneaky bastard, that when she went into her room immediately afterward, I decided to try something else. So I army-crawled into her room, and under her bed, unseen. When she got off her bed, I grabbed her ankle, and she pissed herself. And now she always checks her corners whenever she walks around them, and under her bed when she gets onto it. I regret nothing.

I told my little cousin about slenderman. She used to be a really brave little girl but ever since she won't even go into another room by herself, let alone at night. I actually really regret doing it now.

My dad once told me this really stupid story when I was young of how automatic flushing toilets will suck you down the toilet so for the longest time I was paranoid of them and any toliet that has a high powered flush. I wouldn't use them anywhere, a porter potty almost seemed better to me (not quite though) but finally I've gotten used to them and I can go.. But the second that thing flushes I freak out and get out of the stall as quick as I can :

"Once when I was around 8, I stayed up late with my younger brother to watch Chucky. That night we talked about how scary the movie was and decided to leave a light on. Fast forward to the next day around noon. Little brother is playing the sims and is completely engrossed in the situation while i played with my baby sister and her doll. And then it hit me like a truck. I'll freak out little brother with the doll. I slowly walk up behind little brother and toss the doll over his head and into his lap and yell out "I'M GONNA KILL YOU!". He jumped backwards knocking the chair over and himself while screaming. Every now and then I remind him of chucky and the incident and I doubt he has watched a chucky movie since. "

My roommate went to a scary movie, paranormal activity 2. While she was gone I grabbed her daughter's babydoll...the creepy eyes kind. Sat it on the stairs which overlooked the front door and turned off the light. Went to my room and waited for a scream. Well worth it. She had always charged me way to much for rent anyways.

This one happened to me. My older cousin once told me that when you flush the toilet a monster will come out, and the only way to be safe is to enter another room before the flushing noise stops because the doorway is a barrier. Even long after I stopped believing it, I kept doing this out of habit. Flushing the toilet still gives me this sense of impending danger and a desire to leave the room really quickly.

My older cousin thought it would be fantastic to tell my sister that Catwoman (Batman Returns had just come out) lived in her closet. He told her that he had talked Catwoman out of clawing her eyes while she slept. He also told her that this would only work if she stopped being annoying and just to be sure Catwoman couldn't come out she had to make sure the closet door was ALWAYS closed. Needless to say this scared the crap out of my sister. Twenty years later and she still cannot and I mean cannot sleep with the closet door open.
