Went hiking with my husband in a state park, got lost because the trails were poorly marked, found a big rock outcropping to climb up on so we could look below and attempt to find a trail. Found the trail but also spotted a dude sitting under a tree holding a rifle with his face covered. It wasn't gun season and hunting isn't allowed in the parks anyway. He was probably poaching but it freaked me out because it was just generally unnerving and what if he didn't take kindly to people catching him poaching. He just stared at us until we climbed down (on the other side of the outcropping) and booked it out of there. No wave, no friendly nod, nothing from the guy. Just straight up staring. People are way scarier than any ghost or Sasquatch if you ask me.

Watched a coyote hunt and kill a turkey. I've seen weird structures in the woods, but nothing super creepy has ever happened to me.

There's a lot of old landmines from the war in the mountains near the village where I lived, When I was a teenager, I sometimes used to go up there in the woods by myself for photography or just to be myself, this one time late evening, I see this one figure approaching me. It's a man in a bomb defusal suit (government sponsored weekend volunteers). I'm not really worried since, I've came across a lot of them in my past treks, but I notice this guy is missing one of his arms, bleeding. I just stand there in shock for a minute, he starts yelling at me. I come back to my senses and just run away.

when i was on my way home with my friend (we bought some weed) and on the way home, we had to walk through the woods. we saw a branch on a tree along with branches from other trees that totally looked like the boogeyman from sinister. that shit was scary

Got robbed by a gang of squirrels. . Never going back to that campsite. (Vicious little fluffers)

Nothing too creepy. We were camping one night and a family of raccoons smelled something in our tent and were trying to get in. One got his little snout in the little hole between the bottom of the zipper and ground so I threw a shoe at it.

Tree branches broke somewhere in the dark behind me after sunset... noped right out of there, and it really just about 30 ft in

When I was a kid my friends and I walked out into the woods with some lanterns while our parents sat by a fire. There's this huge tree out in our woods. So we walked around the tree and sitting on a rock was some big ass creature resembling a white big foot. It slowly turned to look at us and just kept staring. After 3 seconds of shock we high tailed it out of there and stayed inside for the rest of the night.
