What unsolved mystery would you like to be explained in your lifetime?

i've always been super curious about the voynich manuscript. it just drives me crazy that there's this massive, beautiful book full of illustrations and text that literally nobody on earth can read. as someone who spends a lot of time looking at patient charts and trying to decipher messy handwriting, the idea of a code that has survived for centuries without being cracked is just wild to me. i really hope someone figures it out before i get too much older, because it feels like such a huge piece of human history just sitting there locked away.

another one that keeps me up at night is the whole deal with the roanoke colony. honestly, the idea of an entire group of people just vanishing into thin air is so eerie. i've read so many theories about it over the years, but none of them ever feel like a complete answer. it's one of those things that makes you realize how fragile and mysterious our history actually is. i'd love to see some definitive proof or at least a solid discovery that explains what actually happened to them.
