Have you ever complimented or been complimented by a complete stranger? What happened?

It happens more often than you'd think, actually. Just last month, I was grabbing a coffee at a busy shop and a guy walked up to me just to say he liked the jacket I was wearing. It was nothing special, just a rugged denim piece I've had for ages, but it really made my day. We ended up chatting for like five minutes about where we shop and then just went our separate ways. It’s funny how a tiny comment from someone you don't know can totally change your mood.

I try to do the same whenever I notice something cool. If I see someone rocking a nice pair of boots or even just looking like they put extra effort into their outfit, I usually just tell them. Most people look surprised at first, like they aren't used to hearing something nice from a random stranger, but then they usually get a big smile on their face. It's just a simple way to be decent, you know? The world's already stressful enough as it is.
