Bartenders, what's an underrated drink more people should try?
Honestly, most people just stick to the usual suspects like gin and tonics or whiskey cokes when they're out. If you want something that actually tastes like a real drink and not just a sugar bomb, you should definitely order a Boulevardier next time. It’s basically a Negroni but with bourbon instead of gin, and it hits way different. It's got that perfect balance of bitter and sweet that just works.
Another one that people sleep on is the Paper Plane. It sounds a bit fancy, but it's super smooth and has this nice citrus kick from the Aperol and lemon. It's the kind of drink you can sip on for a while without getting tired of it. A lot of folks get intimidated by the ingredients, but if you find a decent spot, they’ll whip it up no problem. Definitely give those a shot if you're bored of the standard menu.
Honestly, everyone just sticks to the same old beers or basic gin and tonics when they're out. You should really give a Boulevardier a shot. I usually grab one when I'm tired of the usual stuff. It's not too sweet and feels a bit more "grown up" if you get what I mean. Most bartenders know how to make it perfectly, but it's surprising how many people have never even heard of it. Definitely worth ordering next time you're at a bar instead of just defaulting to whatever is on tap.
