Teachers, what's the worst fight you had to break up?

Honestly, the worst one I ever had to deal with happened right in the hallway during a changeover. It was two boys who went from just shoving each other to full-on throwing punches in seconds. I’m pretty small, so jumping in between them felt terrifying, but my adrenaline just kicked in. I had to grab one of them by the backpack and practically drag him toward the wall while shouting for some of the other staff to help out. It was total chaos and honestly, my hands were shaking for like an hour afterwards.

The thing that stuck with me most wasn't even the fighting itself, but how fast it escalated over something so incredibly stupid. I think it started over a borrowed hoodie or something equally pointless. It’s always the ones that start out of nowhere that are the hardest to stop because nobody sees them coming until it's already a mess. I ended up with a bruised arm from getting caught in the middle of a swing, which was definitely not how I planned on spending my afternoon.
