What things to do while in Hawaii (specifically Kauai)

Take a boat trip to the Na'pali Coast, see the spot where Star Wars was filmed. Fern Grotto is a WASTE of money. But kayaking the river is totally cool and fun. Snorkeling - there are only two really good spots on Kaua'i, both are really great and easily accessible from the shore. One's down by Puipu, and the other is up by Half Moon Bay. Snorkle tours to Na'Pali aren't really worth it, but as I said, a boat tour or dinner cruise is epic. It's just that the snorkeling isn't that good there compared to where you can go for free. Bubba Burgers is a must. Also, if it is still there Jo Jo's Shave Ice in Waimea is worth a stop when you go to the canyon. Hiking, hiking, and more hiking!

Ask the natives / hotel desk guy about the Queens Bath and head there in the afternoon. There is a ton of hiking and other fun free stuff pretty much anywhere you go. If there is a full moon or close enough get yourself to a beach that has a good clear view of it and show up at midnight, it'll be just like dusk on a normal clear night, wicked bright. Also check out this book, has every fun thing imaginable. I've spent about for weeks there on various trips and every time I find something new. http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Kauai-Guidebook-Revealed/dp/0971727953
Took a helicopter ride over the area where they filmed Jurassic Park. It was EPIC (as seen here http://youtu.be/SiLQh0memLY)
Capt. Andy's does boat and snorkeling tours of the Na'Pali coast, which you should absolutely do. There's Waimea canyon on the southwest side of the island, which is considered the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. I would also recommend Island Helicopters for a fantastic view of the most beautiful place in the world.
When I went, I did quite a few things. I went zip lining at a very big place which was awesome, they even served us lunch by an 18 foot waterfall we could jump off of. We went dune-buggying up by the red iron dirt. I also went on a yacht ride which was really fun. I really reccomend scuba diving as well. Sorry I can't give you exact locations and places, but I don't remember them well and wasn't involved in setting them up.
I lived in Hawaii for two years, Big Island to be exact. Although I haven't visited Kauai, I do know that there are TONS to do in Hawaii in general. You can go whale watching, view the gardens, or go for a beautiful helicopter ride over the island. Also, ask around..the people in Hawaii are super friendly and I'm sure you will run into tons of things to do :)
Visit every single ABC store on the island. Should take you about 6-8 weeks.
The Koloa and Waimea Falls parks are pretty cool. Also if you like looking out at the Pacific, it can be nice to find a hill overlooking fields of sugar cane and just watch the trade winds blow whitecaps around in the distance.
