Parents what is your best ""why is my kid so stupid"" moment?

My kid, who is now six, had a real winner a few months back. He was trying to "fix" the remote control because the buttons weren't working, so he decided it needed more power. I caught him trying to shove an entire buttered piece of toast into the battery compartment. When I asked him what on earth he was doing, he looked me dead in the eye and said he was just giving it some energy so it could work faster. I couldn't even be mad, just stood there wondering how he figured toast was the universal source of electricity.

Then there was the time he tried to wash my phone in the kitchen sink because he thought it looked "too dusty." He actually used dish soap and a sponge, scrubbing it like he was doing the dishes after dinner. He told me he was helping me out because I'm always on it. I spent the next two days drying it out with rice, praying it would turn back on. Kids definitely have their own weird logic, and sometimes you just have to laugh at the mess they create while trying to be helpful.
