ISP employees: Whats the buzz around the office today regarding Net Neutrality?

"As a silicon valley software engineer, my peers and immediate managers and I were all supportive of it. I have a strong libertarian streak and think that often regulatory interference causes more unintended consequences than benefit, and often "regulatory capture" by the major players in an industry causes regulations to be rigged in favor of the big players. With that said, the Internet Service Provider market in the U.S. is badly broken. There are basically only a few significant players in residential ISP, and they deliberately avoid competing in the same service markets. They also lobby at all levels from municipal, through state and federal levels, and get legislation drafted to prevent competition from entering the markets or providing better services. It's an absurdly broken market and needed a fairly heavy hand applied to shake things up. I hope the FCC stands its guns and actually starts requiring changes and levying fines and penalties to change behaviors. "

I work for a company that started as a dial up ISP. They still run it but it doesn't have many customers anymore. They love net neutrality and will tell you that the reason the free market can't solve the problem is because it requires a lot of political connections to get the rights to install the infrastructure. So, the big ISPs once they have the infrastructure in place, use it to sell access to their customers rather than sell their customers access to the Internet.
Doesn't seem to be getting much attention here in the UK
Tech Support for a municipal fiberoptic. We already run an uncapped gigabit service so it's business as usual. But when I go home at night I have to use Comcast so I'm very happy about the ruling.
Nothing, really. Our ISP doesn't block access or limit bandwidth to any sites. However, once you invite the government in, you can be certain it will not stop here.
I'm a NOC tech for a tier 1 ISP. Nothing much. Business as usual.
Comcast here. Surprisingly, we haven't got any emails recently on the subject.
Former TWC technical support here. The buzz about net neutrality? None. There is seriously no talk about it. At least where I was from. The talk would occasionally bounce up and the one out of 5 nerds in the office would say something about it and then one of the smart ass business people which take their two cents about how it's going to hurt us. well hurt them. whatever the outcome of the net neutrality stance was, it would have been business as usual.
The FCC voted the other day to keep net neutrallity and to treat the internet as a utility.
I work at one of the largest ISPs in the world. No one has said a single word about net neutrality. Given my company is strictly for commercial entities and doesn't provide residential services so it's a little different but stil, not a single mention.
