Usually when someone is really getting on my nerves, I prefer to keep things brief but firm. Saying something like "I'm afraid I don't have the capacity for this right now" or "Let's revisit this when we're both in a better headspace" usually does the trick. It shuts down the conversation without you having to resort to being outright rude, which keeps things professional or at least civil enough that they leave you alone.
Sometimes people just don't get the hint, though. In those cases, a simple "I'm going to step away now" is my go-to move. It’s pretty hard for someone to argue with that because you're just physically removing yourself from the situation. It’s way more effective than getting into a shouting match and honestly saves a lot of energy. Just turn around and walk away, it works wonders.

Look, i've dealt with all sorts of people on the job, and honestly, you don't always need to be aggressive to get someone out of your hair. Sometimes a simple "i think we're done here" or "i'm going to have to stop you right there" works wonders. It sounds professional enough but still lets them know that the conversation is officially over and they should move along.
If someone is really pushing it, just try saying "i appreciate your input, but i'll take it from here" or just a flat "that's not going to work for me." Usually, when you stay calm and firm, they get the hint pretty quick without you having to lose your cool. It’s all about the tone; if you keep it neutral, they can't really call you out for being rude, even if you're basically telling them to scram.
Worst case scenario, you can always go with the classic "i'm not in a position to discuss this further" and just walk away. My experience is that people usually stop yapping once they realize you aren't gonna engage with their nonsense anymore. Don't waste your breath trying to be super polite if they aren't respecting your boundaries, just shut it down and move on with your day.
