Teachers and students what is your opinion on E-Learning?

Grad student here, doing all my classes online. Also have kids doing E-learning. I think E-learning is absolutely fantastic, when it is a program that was designed to be done remotely. When it's not, or it's designed in a hurry, then it really suffers. Plus, I suspect that kids, even kids raised on technology, benefit more from in person interaction than an adult who just needs to get the stuff learned. I really, really wish that last spring, more people had foreseen a need for more e-learning, and worked to develop a curriculum from the ground up designed to be taught remotely.

As an elementary school teacher, it's terrible. Especially for kids with not-so-great living conditions, you can tell in their faces that they don't feel safe in their own home, and that really breaks my heart. It gives me an insight into students' lives and I can understand and try to help them more in any way I can.

As a teacher, it sucks. I could see myself as a student loving it because I could get away with anything.

Don't yell at me in your assignment submission telling me you didn't know wtf was going on and you are clueless. You had weeks to email me your questions.

From the staff perspective, it's awful. At first it was great because we were all like wooo!! No school!! But after a few weeks it's so exhausting, students are tired we're tired, technical issues all the time, some students become disengaged. It's really hard, everyone's trying their best but it's not ideal.

Not affective. Causes more stress than normal class. Fucked me over and now I'm in cp instead of honors, but tbf I had no plans to be alive at this point, so that's on my own incompetence.
