R.E.M. - Everybody Hurts - Self-explanatory really. Pearl Jam - Jeremy - A song about a depressed kid who shot himself in the head at school. Tears For Fears - Mad World - You probably know the Gary Jules cover but the original is just as good. It has a different feel to it to the Gary Jules version, it's musically more upbeat, but the message is the same. Radiohead - Creep - A song about body image and self-esteem. The Who - Behind Blue Eyes - Basically it's about alienation and isolation. Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond - About Syd Barretts being ousted from Pink Floyd because of his drug and mental health problems.

Anything by Insomnium. I've had depression and many other mental issues for a good decade now, and they're the first ones who made me feel understood just from their lyrics.
