What is something that SHOULD be taught in school?

Honestly, financial literacy is the biggest thing missing. I remember getting my first paycheck and having no clue how taxes actually worked or why my net pay was so much lower than what I expected. Nobody ever explained how interest rates on credit cards can spiral out of control or why building a credit score matters so much when you're trying to rent an apartment. We spend years learning abstract theories but step into the real world completely blind when it comes to managing money.

Another thing is basic home maintenance and repair skills. I've had to learn how to fix a leaky faucet or patch drywall just by watching videos online because I never touched a toolbox during my entire education. It’s pretty wild that we learn complex stuff but can't handle a simple circuit breaker trip or a clogged drain. Knowing how to maintain your own living space would save everyone so much stress and cash in the long run.
