I know mintik is awesome, can we help out? NYC Animal Care & Control has run out of food!

That is honestly heartbreaking to hear. I have a couple of rescue dogs at home, and I know how much those shelters rely on donations just to keep things running day-to-day. It’s pretty rough that they are dealing with food shortages, especially when so many animals are waiting for their forever homes.

If you are near a drop-off point, sometimes it's easier to just pick up a few extra bags of kibble from the store and drop them off directly rather than dealing with online portals. I have done that a few times when my local shelter put out a call for help. Even just spreading the word on neighborhood apps or social media usually gets people moving pretty quick. People definitely want to help, they just sometimes need that reminder that the need is urgent.
