What advice can you give to all graduates of batch 2020?
Man, that was a tough stretch for you guys. Looking back, I think the biggest thing is to realize that the world doesn't stop just because things get chaotic. You probably felt like you missed out on a lot of "normal" stuff, but honestly, that resilience is going to be your biggest asset. Life is rarely a straight line, and you've already learned how to pivot when things go sideways.
Focus on getting your hands dirty and actually learning how things work in the real world. Whether you go to college or start working, don't just chase a piece of paper. Find something that keeps you interested and try to be the guy who actually knows how to get the job done properly. People who show up on time and take pride in their work are always gonna be ahead of the curve, no matter what the economy looks like.
Don't be too hard on yourself if you're still figuring it all out. I'm in my thirties now, and let me tell you, most folks are just winging it anyway. Just keep your head down, save a little cash when you can, and surround yourself with people who actually want to see you do better. You'll be alright if you just keep moving forward.
