I am at a loss- can someone explain how they figured out paying for childcare VS working...I'll be making as much as I will be spending!

If your take-home after childcare is close to zero, it might feel like a wash today, but remember that your kids won't be in full-time daycare forever. Once they hit school age, that massive expense drops significantly, and suddenly your paycheck starts feeling like actual income again.

Think about the tax side of things too, especially if you have access to a Dependent Care FSA. That can save you a decent chunk of change by letting you pay for care with pre-tax dollars. It might not solve the whole problem, but it definitely helps tip the scales.
