Back in the day, before everything went digital, I actually met my husband through a pen pal column in a magazine. It sounds ancient now, but we spent nearly two years just writing handwritten letters to each other. There was something so special about waiting for the postman and carefully reading every single word he wrote. It really let us build a connection based on our thoughts and personalities rather than just looks.

We finally decided to meet in person after a long while of sending photos and cassette tapes back and forth. I was so nervous at the train station, but the moment I saw him, it felt like I already knew him perfectly. We got married about a year after that first meeting and we've been together for over a decade now. Sometimes I look at those old letters in my drawer and just smile; it’s funny how a simple stamp and a piece of paper turned into a whole life together.
