You slip into a coma today. You wake up exactly 10 years (which the nurse tells you) from now surrounded by some close family and friends. What is the first thing you ask about?

Man, that's a heavy thought to wake up to. Honestly, the first thing popping into my head wouldn't be anything grand or philosophical. I’d probably just grab the nearest person's arm and ask if my dog is still alive. After ten years, the thought of losing my best buddy would be way more gut-wrenching than whatever crazy stuff happened in the world while I was out cold.

After that, I'd definitely need a reality check on the tech side of things. I'd probably ask to see a phone or just catch a glimpse of what everyone is carrying around. Being away for a decade means missing out on some serious hardware upgrades, and I'd be dying to know if we finally got those hoverboards or if we're still stuck with the same old stuff just rebranded with a new number.

Then comes the boring but necessary stuff. I'd want to know if my savings account is still a thing or if inflation ate everything up while I was sleeping. It’s a bit of a buzzkill, but waking up at thirty-six with zero clue about my own life setup would be pretty stressful. I’d just want to know if I still have a roof over my head or if I need to start figuring out my next move immediately.
