Where would one find a bar graph from the BLS that contained averages for hours work, yearly income, full time and part time status based on being male or female?

I've poked around those government labor sites a few times when I was curious about how the pay scales were shifting in my own field. You're definitely looking for the Bureau of Labor Statistics data tables, specifically the ones they release on usual weekly earnings. They don't always put it in a fancy bar graph right on the front page, but they have these massive data sets that break everything down by gender, full-time versus part-time status, and even hours worked per week.

Usually, you have to dig into their "Data Tools" section or look for their specific reports on the labor force characteristics. Most of the time, they give you a big spreadsheet, but if you look at their "Charts at a Glance" section, they sometimes have those visuals already built out. It’s a bit of a headache to navigate through all the menus, but once you find the earnings page, you can filter by those categories. It honestly takes a bit of digging to get the exact view you want, but the info is all buried in there if you know which report to click on.
