I got around any blocked sites by rdp'ing to my home pc and going to the sites from there. Kept the session minimized when not in use. 90% of our work was done over rdp between our office and multiple customer locations so rdp and tunnelier etc were wide open.

Not much is blocked except for Netflix. That's so locked down you can't even view a website about upcoming Netflix releases from your phone if you're on their wifi network.

More of a workaround, but I have found that if I put a 3rd party router between my computer and wall Ethernet outlet, it clears/overrides (not sure of the correct term) any corporate filters. I actually found this out by accident!
