Honestly, that is a no-brainer for me. A billion dollars is life-changing money, so I would take that deal in a heartbeat. I mean, I like music as much as the next guy, but I can definitely live the rest of my life perfectly fine without hearing a single Mariah Carey track. It is not like the world stops spinning if I miss out on her hits.
My surviving strategy would be pretty straightforward. I would just be extremely careful about where I go and what I listen to. I would delete her from all my playlists and streaming apps immediately. If I go out to a bar or a restaurant, I will just keep some noise-canceling headphones in my pocket or wear them around my neck just in case. If a song starts playing, I would just walk out or pop those buds in. It is not that hard to avoid one specific artist if you are motivated enough by that kind of cash.

Man, one billion dollars is life-changing money. I’d take that deal in a heartbeat without even thinking twice. I mean, Mariah Carey has some hits, but I’m not gonna die over a Christmas song or some pop track. There’s plenty of other music out there to keep my ears busy for the rest of my life.
My strategy would be pretty simple: total digital blackout. I'd delete every streaming app and just use specialized playlists that have her blocked. Since I’m always on the go working, I’d probably just switch to listening to podcasts or maybe some heavy metal or rap playlists where I know she won’t pop up unexpectedly. If I’m at a store or a bar and I hear her voice coming through the speakers, I’m literally sprinting out the door. It’s not worth the risk, right?
