I am about to offer someone a job, but I just found out he is an VERY activeor. Should I still hire him?

Yeah, this maybe wouldn't stress me out but he's currently working, so I'm afraid he'll slack off at work here too What makes you think he's slacking off? The fact that he isn't sitting at his desk pounding out work for 8 hours straight? Not doing work != slacking off. Maybe his current project includes some downtime, or his job is smart enough to measure his productivity by the work he actually produces, rather than how much time he spends pushing e-paper around his screen.

He is probably Fapping to this right now!
Is it possible that he is on vacation this week? Seem a little stupid offer up an invitation, only to show your future employers how much you dick around whilst at work. So my guess he is either a) stupid or b) on holiday or c) arrogant and doens't give a fuck because he thinks you need him.
You're a professional. Assume he is too. When I'm at work I use my time as wisely as I can to benefit the company. When I come home, I waste every precious minute. There's work time and there's rec time. You owe this guy the benefit of the doubt. We can't all be guilty by association.
Please, let us know what you decide.
Is he currently employed? Perhaps he doesn't find his current job engaging enough or challenging enough. I wouldn't presume about his work ethics simply by his online activity before you've hired him. If it continued after you hired him and he isn't performing at an acceptable standard, talk to him. If he continues to not meet expectations, discipline/fire him.
Maybe speak to him first, let him know the workplace policy on Social Media and see where it goes from there.
I wouldn't hire him simply for being retarded enough to put all his personal information on the internet, and then add his potentially future boss. The guy is a moron from what you are saying. I won't speak for your information sharing habits since I do not know you.
What are his references like? How did he perform with his previous employer? You're paying for the completion of a task, not the appearance of working hard. I think at this point many people are on top of their various social networks while maintaining a busy schedule.
If he's the best candidate, then hire him. Be clear about what is expected, and if he slacks off, then warn him, and if he continues to slack, terminate him. Just be a good manager, and expect him to be a good employee.
