That "call of the void" thing hits me the hardest whenever I’m standing on the edge of a subway platform. It’s super weird, but every time I hear that train approaching from the tunnel, my brain just goes, "hey, what if you just stepped forward?" It’s not like I’m actually depressed or anything, but that split-second intrusive thought is always there, and it honestly scares the hell out of me for a second.

I also get it sometimes when I'm driving on a high bridge. I'll be cruising along, and for a tiny flicker of a moment, I imagine myself just jerking the steering wheel toward the railing. It’s like a glitch in my system. I usually just grip the wheel tighter or take a deep breath to snap out of it, but it’s definitely one of those strange human experiences that makes you feel like you aren't fully in control of your own thoughts sometimes.

That "call of the void" thing hits me the hardest when I'm working on high-up electrical panels or just standing near a ledge on a balcony. It’s that weird, split-second urge where your brain just goes "what if I just let go?" or "what if I just jumped?" It doesn't mean I actually want to do it, but that intrusive thought is always super jarring. It’s like a glitch in the system, honestly.

I feel it most when I'm tired or staring at something repetitive for too long. Just yesterday I was checking some connections on a roof and for a split second, I had to physically shake my head to snap out of it. It’s definitely a strange feeling, like a sudden disconnect between what I’m doing and that random, darker thought popping into my head out of nowhere.
