What are some ways one can stop feeling bad about themselves over a failed AP Exam score?

I took all the AP courses my school offered. I only passed one. Bio was easy for me because I love science. The two histories I'll say were on me because I just don't like history. English, Lit and Government were definitely bad teachers. Thing back and look at how the class was. Do you feel like you were prepared for the exam well enough? If you weren't, then how is it your fault? Do you feel you were prepared well? Then resolve to not make the same mistakes over again. Also remember that the last half of this year was a pandemic and that shakes up everything for everyone. At the end of the day, though, don't beat yourself up over it because what are you going to do to change the past? Nothing, you can't. So focus on your future instead.

It feels like it matters a lot but it really doesn't. What ever pathway you've planned out in your head is probably not how life is going to go and worrying about something like an exam that may impact you 5 steps down the line is going to cause you unnecessary stress.
So AP exams count for college credit, sometimes. People think it's a great idea deal, but it actually kinda sucks, because when you graduate college early (if your AP credits even counted for anything, because they don't always transfer), you enter the workforce at a disadvantage: you're young. Moreover, graduating with your college cohort gives you the benefit of connections / networking. And spending the full time in college gives you time to learn necessary life skills. TL DR: AP credits aren't worth it. It's a cool achievement with no practical advantage.
In the grand scheme of life, this will not matter. Give yourself a break and try not to dwell on it.
Succeeding on the AP exam would have saved you some time and money in college. But it's not really worth stressing over. If you make this a wake-up call to apply yourself and work harder on studying for future tests, it will have been much more important to your success than a passing score would have been.
