Not necessarily a gaming community, but I stopped playing Scrabble on the Scrabble app recently.  Yes. Scrabble.  I like word games, so I downloaded the Scrabble app and decided to play. Unfortunately, I linked it to my Facebook profile, so it uploaded my Facebook picture.  My picture isn't even anything crazy. It is literally only my face, and I'm smiling.  You can message the people you get randomly paired up with. Every single day I got a message from different guys asking where I live, how I'm  doing, how cute I am and so on. I'm married. No offense, but I don't want to get to know you, I'm not single.  As soon as I would say I had a husband, they would resign the game and quit. Eventually I stopped answering these people, which made them resign and quit the game. I got tired of not being able to just play a damn game without getting hit on that I just deleted the app completely.

Some even DDos which is a literal federal crime (and most of the time just because you killed them in self defence). You have griefers who destroy cargo that people worked hard for. Deeeep.io My favorite .io game of all time but the community isint really the best.... So there's a gamemode called ffa (free for all) and another called tffa (team free for all) the problem is some people team on ffa despite there being a gamemode specifically designed for it. Because of this, a team can be basically unstoppable and with this power they can have offensive names and spam racial slurs since nobody can target them. Oh and did I forget to mention THERES NO IN-GAME MODERATION  I haven't left the community but I've applied to be a mod to see if I can try and fix this...

I didn't necessarily quit altogether, but Friday the 13th the Game. There are some really cool people on there, but there are also a lot of assholes, which becomes apparent when you're playing as Jason. If you're unfamiliar, the game consists of a team of counselors vs a single Jason  the counselors are supposed to work together to escape the camp whereas Jason is (obviously) trying to kill the counselors before they can escape. Being Jason is stressful as hell-- if you use the same attack too many times, people shit talk you. If you're too good, people shit talk you. If you're not good enough at killing them, they'll shit talk you for not killing them.

For honor was bad for a bit to the point i quit for a while. I later went back and learned the game enough to get over what bothered me and somewhat enjoy it.  Rainbow six was toxic for a while too. I never quit but I considered it. Constant team killings, kicking, etc for no reason. I remember when I went from ps4 (where i had played r6s for a couple years and was consistently ranked gold or higher) to Xbox one. My progress didnt switch so I was restarting my ranking and such. I was kicked or killed for no reason (even by bronze players) because of how low of a level I was. Little did they know i was way higher on my ps4 account. It was literally join in a match and get kicked, or as soon as you spawn they team kill you. And that was just on casual rounds.

Overwatch by a long shot. If I had a dollar for every time that I was berated for being a Mercy main, being a healer in general or getting a complete wipe of the opposing team, I would be able to pay for my college tuition for all four years. To sum up my experience, the game itself was fun, but the gaming community? If I was standing right next to Reactor No. 4 at Chernobyl, it still wouldn't be as toxic as the players, it literally drained the fun out of that game and it made me miserable. Splatoon 2 People get on casual and try hard like motherfuckers. I just want to play the casual game mode. Competitive has a bunch of other game modes on rotation so there was no guarantee that you could play Turf War mode. I genuinely believe that the best players of that game play the casual mode because of that, and it makes playing casual suck balls. Also, the matchmaking in that game is worthless. You get a lobby of like all level ~20ish and then one level 150 person shows up and all of a sudden the other team gets try hardy and it turns out the level 150 guy is the worst player in the match. Competitive games should really list K/D/A ratios in addition to arbitrary playtime ranks before games.
