People, what’s the most painful physical wound that you got and how did you get it?

Not really a wound, but it hurt like fuck. When I were 16 i had an apprenticeship and we used to help at times fixing up heavy machinery like bulldozers and diggers. Well one day this digger comes in with dents on the bodywork, so we took the panels off and we'd flatten them out with a sledgehammer against a flat surface, etc against the ground or a reinforced section of wall we had.  Well I was shadowing one lad who was bashing the panels back into shape, he was doing overhead swings into the ground, so I was stood to his right and he decided to start flattening a part up against a wall on his left. When he swung back, it were directly at crotch height, specifically my crotch height.

somewhat unexpected cycling accident. was strolling the neighborhood until a rock came out of nowhere and sent my bike riding in another direction sending me flying a few feet away and sliding on pure concrete. got up to see a skin abrasion that almost showed bone, not to mention the size was half a ruler so it was long as well. It left a bit of dead skin i had to remove myself. It left a scar a few weeks after. now i cycle wearing two to three layers of clothing.

I was shooting a nail into a piece of timber over my head on a ceiling I had my arm stretched out to get it up there shot it the nail went trough a knot and into my had then back into the timber I was nailed hanging by my hand as my foot slipped off what I was standing on someone me came an put it back which was probably only after a muinet but felt like days

Sprained my left knee at school. a classmate and I did some awful looking karate shit. I did a flying kick at the entrance of the big roofed hallway composed of metal benches and shit and I landed on the asphalt/concrete that was at the entrance and fell off the path onto the dirt with pain surging through my left knee. I hopped my ass to the cafeteria(it was lunch), ate lunch and told my favorite teacher who no longer teaches there and she took me to the nurse. I had a cast for God knows how long and I was weak when it was removed that I couldn't go down the stairs properly.

I have type 1 diabetes and I was doing a infusion set and anybody who does them know they hurt but my dumbass self somehow did it into a nerve couldn't move for 1 hour or I would get extreme pain in the area

"When I had toothache on a sunday I decided to go to one of those "emergency dentists". (I am a very nervous person when it comes to toothache) Apparently this guy was not one of the best doctors. He started a root canal treatment. And then he left the tooth open. Monday I went to my usual dentist and he freaked out which made me freak out. He told me my tooth looked perfectly fine apart from some 'offended nerves' and that the other doctor didn't do whatever he did correctly. My doctor then had to proceed with the root canal treatment. Getting to the point: I had a root canal treatment with an intact root. Pain was there for weeks. Like the whole face. "

I had a Grade 5 AC Joint Separation. I tore every ligament holding my left collarbone down and it was protruding at a 200% rate. I got it from getting t-boned by a Jeep on my driver side.  2 surgeries and a ton of physical therapy later it's as healed as it's gonna get. Still feels stiff every now and then but they say it's fully functioning.

Managed to get shot and also break my right knee after falling down a flight of stairs. Lived in a rough area and went to a mall with a movie theater attached to it. I was watching the Incredibles 2 and just before the lights came on, after the end of the movie, someone came in and shot at a man from a rival gang. Wasnt intentional that I got hit in the shoulder, just wrong place at the wrong time. He ran and I tried to run out the door but tripped and fell resulting in a broken patella.

Once hit the nerve in my elbow (funny bone) so hard I broke the casing open. Genuinely thought I'd cut my arm off at the elbow for a split second it hurt that bad. Couldn't bend it properly for months and almost 8 years later it still gets tingly if I move it wrong.

Hot oil burn. I was refilling a deep fryer after cleaning it and I dropped the pot of oil. The oil hit the back of the fryer and cascaded over me like a waterfall. Second degree burns over my face and chest. Extremely painful and the pain lasted for days.

I had a parotid salivary gland and developed stones in it over a course of time. They hurt like absolute shit and I had to get them surgically removed. They gave me the stones to keep in a test tube afterwards which was neat but kinda creepy

Wound up in the ER, severely dehydrated and impossible to get an IV line into. They drilled into my shin to get through the bone to the marrow, because apparently if it works they can rehydrate you really quickly that way. Drilling through the skin and bone was a breeze. When they hit the marrow, I screamed like an animal caught in a trap. I've been through tooth abscesses, brain surgery, acid burns. This was beyond the pale.  And the rehydration wasn't even successful.

I had to have a mole removed from my leg, and it was unfortunately cancerous so they removed a good chunk of skin around and deep into where the mole was. When he was cauterizing the wound, the numbing wore off and between the smell of my burning flesh and the insane pain I absolutely lost it. Wouldn't wish that on anyone ever.

I had a fragment of a bullet lodged in my thigh, it scrapped the bone so every slight movement, even breathing was an unbearable pain, even after they removed it. And that's me being extremely lucky and not getting hit by the bullet itself.

I played lacrosse in high school. My dumb ass wasn't wearing a cup, and I blocked a shot at our goal with my balls which led to testicular torsion and the most painful 5 months of my life.  In case any one is wondering, a lacrosse ball is a solid rubber ball with the average shot speed at 80-90 mph.

I had a hole in my stomach that I got after my bike accident. The steering wheel (idk what it's called English is not my first language) was all metal. I was driving home and some kid jumped out so I manuvered to avoid the kid, but my front wheel blocked and so I fell stomach first at the end of the steering thingie. My wound was like 3 or 4 cm deep and I fainted. I woke up at the infirminary of the nearby school with some girl fainting and vomiting while she saw me when they brought me in (she was scared of blood or some shit).
