"What does it mean: "exist"? Google: To have "objective reality" or "being". Objective reality can be categorized as the observation of what we can perceive with our senses and instruments used to augment our sense of laws and principles governing space and time. Being can be known as a subjective impression of what is perceived, and it can also be the thing we perceive. What I have come to perceive as the universal and fundamental law of all things is that I am a limited being in a vast and chaotic universe, the microcosm of which becomes less chaotic as the core of my perception. This core will inevitably subside to chaos as I die and am reunited with my environment. Chaos is the one true God, and chaos doesn't care, so I'm making the most of this rare moment I have being alive with at least the illusion of control. "

When I was being treated for cancer I met a lot of kids that died. I met babies that died. What God kills kids? I had no more right to live than they did.  People, family and others, would prey for me during chemo and they thanked God when I was cleared. I thanked my doctors. I thanked my dad for putting the rest of his life aside and getting me the treatment I needed. I didn't thank a god.

when i was in 1st grade at catholic school, i would ask questions about what we were told (we were told to pray to mary so as not to bother jesus who was very busy). i thought we should be able to pray at home and not have to pay a church for us to sit there and do it each week. then my 18 and 19 year old cousins died in a terrible car accident in a winter storm. no one could tell me how god could do that to my cousins and their family. i stopped asking questions because i stopped believing any of it. went to catholic school for 8 years and all the teachings washed off my back like a duck.

"The reason I personally don't believe in is because the people that do just aren't smart, the people who claim god moved the sun on dec 3 last year all had a history of hallucinations, the many anti vaxxers believe in god. Many people who think 5 g is whats making covid believe in god. Theirs really never been any proof in the pudding other than "just trust me". Really every pope up until 200 years ago wasn't even a pope and more of just an asshole. The other thing is 90% all of the "acts of god" are actually just acts of doctors with a medical license. "

Not confirm nor denying but, if we were to discover aliens, what do you think they would do, make up excuses for their excuses, my father is a very religious man, he says there are no aliens or anything else things we see today, there were no dinosaurs and the earth is as old as time itself, and well I asked him the same question (if aliens were to come to earth would you still believe in God, or would you atleast question him) and he just beat me up that night, thinking I had become an atheist...

"God knows everything right? "Allknowing" and stuff. Well God knows perfectly well that there is not a fraction of proof that he exists anywhere, and anyone with a brain would question his existence. So if there is a God he sure as hell isnt a good one of he condemns people who doesnt believe in him to Hell. I mean God would be a pretty terrible person if he sends me to hell for not believing in him. Thats like me getting mad at people Ive never met for not knowing I won one game of Fall Guys the other day. "

I know most comments here deny god, but for me it's mathematics, you can hold a circle in your hand easily but the ration of it's circumference to diameter, or pi is forever impossible to know. Same with God, there may be an all knowing presence right in front of us, but we'll never know it.

"The complexity of the universe itself, from the largest structures all the way down to quarks. Even the laws of physics themselves  the speed of light, the strength of each of the basic forces, etc. It's all so interconnected and fragile that it feels like it was planned, built and maintained. However, I do not believe in an "all seeing, personal god" that manipulates our daily lives. More of a driving force that influences things on a cosmic scale. Which, in turn, would mean that I don't believe any religion is right and no one has ever gotten "messages from god" and written those rules down in a book. "
