   Bridging the Gap is the second studio album by American hip hop group Black Eyed Peas. It was released on September 26, 2000, by Interscope Records. The album was their last to feature solely underground hip hop before their shift to a more mainstream sound in their later albums.

     The album features guest appearances from De La Soul and Wyclef Jean. It peaked at number 39 on the Billboard 200 chart and number 18 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The album’s lead single, “Request + Line (feat. Macy Gray),” reached number 63 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
