Yaygın kullanılan polimerler nelerdir?
Natural Gas and Coal: Combining these in a power plant can be a way to generate electricity. While both are fossil fuels with drawbacks, a natural gas-coal blend can be a strategy to reduce emissions compared to burning just coal. This is because natural gas burns cleaner than coal [Natural Gas Power Plants].
Oil and Electricity: This isn’t exactly combining fuels, but it is a way to use conventional resources together. Electric vehicles are powered by electricity, but that electricity can be generated from oil-fired power plants. This is a common way to power electric vehicles currently, though there’s a push for renewable sources to generate the electricity.
Two conventional sources of energy (fuels) are:
Coal: A fossil fuel formed from plant matter that has been compressed over millions of years. It’s commonly used in power plants to generate electricity.
Natural Gas: A hydrocarbon gas mixture primarily composed of methane. It’s used for heating, cooking, and electricity generation.
When coal and natural gas are burned, they release energy in the form of heat. This heat can be used to produce steam, which in turn drives turbines connected to generators, thus producing electricity. Therefore, the combination of coal and natural gas can be used in some power plants to produce energy.
