Teachers what is the politest way of telling a parent that his/hers child might not be the sharpest tool in the shed and how you deal with not so smart children ?

   “If you are a public school teacher in the U.S., you should refer the child for special education testing. You would give the parent specific examples of the child not being on target/grade level, you don’t need to tell the parent that their child is generally stupid or anything like that. Most children with special needs still have strengths as well as weaknesses so find examples of both. As far as “how to deal” again, the special education teachers can help you accommodate the child so that they can learn as best as they can in the ways that are easiest for them to do so. “

   I had a teacher do that to my mom while i was there. I failed a test for math and she literally said: Even the smart kids have problems with this test. My mom thought it was disrespectful, i found it pretty funny cuz my teacher instantly regretted what she said
