Dear, what can I do about noisy, drunk American exchange students in my town?

Your best bet is to make a reed flute.  Cut a mature, hollow piece of bamboo (or any other reed stalk), about 14 inches long and inspect it for damage. Breaks or cracks in the reed will prevent it from making sound. Cut a 3/8-inch diameter hole about 2 inches away from the node that closes the end of the reed. This is the mouth hole for playing and should be cut with clean edges on the surface of the reed, but does not need to be rounded. Check to make sure the other end of the reed is left open. If both ends of the reed are open, one end can be sealed with wax. If both ends are closed, cut the bamboo at the node so that one end is open. Carve small holes--finger sized--beginning 5 1/2 inches from the mouth hole. Carve five holes 1 1/4 inches apart. Smooth the edges of each hole with a piece of sandpaper. Wipe the flute clean and begin to play.  Once you have a reed flute, the American exchange students will stop bothering you.

When I went to Switzerland to drunkenly yell and wreck stuff, it was mostly with Canadians and New Zealand blokes. They were just as bad as or worse than the Americans I know. I am super embarassed for this...I can confirm it though. We have an exchange student thing with Seevetal in Germany and the students that go over there are some of the dumbest fucks I know. Alot of them make it clear they are just going to drink. So I am very sorry. As for preventing this, maybe you can look into contacting their home university? If you threatened to make this known I'm pretty sure whatever colleges they come from would stomp down on it to prevent very bad publicity.

As one of the noisy, obnoxious, drunk Americans who took part in the University of Innsbruck exchange program, I know that there is one thing you can do to significantly change student behavior. E-mail the universities from which these students come and you can get in touch with the deans who oversee their respective study abroad programs. These are some universities which have had or still have an Innsbruck study abroad program: University Of Georgia, University of Virginia, and Stetson University. P.S. You can also try to convince the Hof Garten not to do 6 for 6's on Tuesday. It encourages our inner stereotypical American. I think it is very much worth writing to their home schools. Find several names and emails of deans, chairs and vice chairs of relevant departments and let them know how poorly their students are representing their school. Strongly iterate how their reputation has already been seriously locally damaged and this could spread regionally and nationally. I would suggest that you work with several other folks within your town on this. Gain their trust by offering them free drinks and then lure them into a secure building where you can lock them up and no one can hear their screams. Let them stew for a couple of days with only meager rations and the occasional dousing with a fire hose. Ok, here's what you do. Go to University and talk to the engineering group. Gather as much information as you can about industrial engineering and manufacturing (stick with me on this, it gets complex). Somewhere where those douchy Americans can't see, start collecting bits of steel and copper. When you have enough, secretly start building items for export. Early in the morning when the drunkards aren't awake, ship those exports to China or better yet, America! As your trade balance goes up, your currency value should slowly rise. Since the US Dollar is collapsing, it shouldn't be long before those students can't afford to buy beer in your country anymore, they'll migrate somewhere with more affordable booze. As a loud American, I can assure you that any insult or violence isn't going to change their behavior. It really is just our nature to be loud.
