  1. It’s Jeff Perry. I’ve always been so impressed by his work, not just as Thatcher Grey but also as Cyrus Beene on Scandal. He has a way of making you feel so many different things about his characters, even when they’re not great people. With Thatcher, you hate him for the way he treated Meredith and his drinking, but then you feel for him when he’s sick and trying to make amends. His death scene with Meredith was one of the most heartbreaking moments on the show, and he played it so beautifully. He’s one of those actors who just brings so much depth and humanity to a role.
