      • Immune Evasion: Certain glycoproteins can act as a disguise, masking the virus from the host’s immune system.

      • Additional Components:

        Host Cell Proteins: In some cases, the viral envelope might also incorporate proteins from the host cell membrane during the budding process where the virus exits the host cell.

        • Overall, the viral envelope plays a significant role in a virus’s ability to infect host cells. It provides a protective layer, facilitates attachment and entry, and can help the virus evade the host’s immune response.
