A Chinese paper yo-yo is a fun and simple toy. Here’s how to play with it:

Basic Play:

1. Hold the String: The paper yo-yo will be attached to a string with two handles. Hold one handle in each hand, with the yo-yo resting in your palm.

2. The Flick: For the basic play, you’ll use a flicking motion to send the yo-yo outward. Here are two options:

   • Underhand Flick: Hold the yo-yo slightly cupped in your palm. With a quick flick of your wrist, send the yo-yo outward in a straight line. The string will unwind as the yo-yo goes out.
   • Overhand Flick: Hold the yo-yo with the string on top of your hand. Flick your wrist upwards, sending the yo-yo out and the string unwinding.

3. The Return: Gravity will naturally pull the yo-yo back towards you. As it gets close, slightly raise your hands (without pulling the string) to catch the string loop around the axle (center) of the yo-yo. This will wind the string back up and return the yo-yo to your hand position.
